Detection Microscopy is the most commonly used method to identify most adulterants. For example, the outer surface of the chaff chips in the chaff flour has vertical and horizontal stripes; the outer surface of the wheat bran has fine wrinkles and some of them have wheat hair; the cotton seed cake has relatively thick cotton seed shell fragments, and the brown or white cross section of the cotton seed cake is ladder-shaped.
