The rearing of young ducklings has a great influence on the brooding rate, growth and development and future production performance. The following links must be observed in the rearing of ducklings:
Prepare the brooding room and feeding tools. The ducklings should be sterilized with 10~20% lime water within two days before entering the brooding room. The feeding utensils should be rinsed and exposed to sunlight for 3~5 days. Allow sufficient space and dry in order to achieve the purpose of using sunlight for disinfection.
Keep the temperature of the incubation chamber at 20°C or higher. When the temperature in the brooding chamber does not reach the temperature limit of 20°C, use a coal stove or the like to warm it. In the greenhouse, ducklings are best cultivated in small groups. Each group is generally suitable for 40 ducklings. A small group was raised for about 1 week and began to be raised in large groups.
The time for eating and eating is usually 24 to 36 hours after hatching. Before drinking, you should drink water first, preferably drinking warm water. Foods can be cooked with rice, or you can use whole duck pellet feed. Rice grains should be washed with water and then sticky. After 15 days, they only need to feed during the day and feed 3 times a day.
The ducklings in the water can be let into the water on the third day after hatching. Duck ducks can be put into the water and wet ducks can be used twice a day. Starting from the fifth day, the water can be drunk for three or four times a day.
Disease Prevention Keep the duck houses and sports grounds well drained, and the ground is dry, and often change dunnage; food troughs, sinks should always be washed and disinfected; keep the duck houses well-ventilated and the temperature is appropriate; clean the duck houses on time and remove the excrement timely.
