Cutting and fresh-keeping of cut flowers of snapdragon

Cut and fresh cut flowers: Snapdragon cut flowers are not resistant to squeezing, but premature buds are not easy to open. Therefore, it is advisable to cut 2 to 3 flowers at the base of the inflorescence, and to cut at the beginning of the upper bud. After harvesting, the cut flowers were graded according to flower color, plant height, and spike length, and 10 to 20 shoots were bundled. The long spikes were wrapped in cellophane and packaged and listed. Snapdragon cut flowers can only be stored and transported in water at 4°C for a short time, otherwise the buds on the upper inflorescence are easy to wither. Before harvesting and packing, the stem can be impregnated with a solution of silver thiosulfate for 20 minutes; or a mixture of sugar, 8-hydroxyquinoline citrate and erythorbic acid can be used as a cut-in fresh-keeping liquid for cut flowers of snapdragon.
