First, biological characteristics
The scientific name of the golden carp is oval, and the local name is Huanglao, Jinluo. The fish is flat on its side, oval, anal fin slightly equal to the second dorsal fin, and is significantly longer than the abdomen. The side of the head is flat, the tail shank is fine, and the body is covered with small round scales. It is firmly adhered and does not peel off easily. The front upper cheekbone extends outwards, and the soft strip in front of the second dorsal fin and the anal fin forms a round shape resembling a sickle. The body length is about 2 times the body height (larvae) or less than 2 times the body size (adult fish). The first dorsal fin has 7 hard buckles, the first of which is embedded in the body and easily hurts the palm of the hand when it is used to grasp live fish. The second dorsal fin has 17 to 20 soft strips, 2 anal fins with hard spurs, and 16 to 19 soft strips.
Golden mullet is a warm-water pelagic fish with large size and generally does not form a large group. It swims from the open sea to the offshore in spring and summer, and swims to deep-water areas in the open sea in winter. Large individuals have 5 kg to 10 kg. The golden carp is delicate and delicious. It is a valuable food fish. It can only be used for mariculture as it has only a small yield. There are a certain number of fry in Guangdong, Guangxi, and Fujian, and artificial breeding in Taiwan and Hainan has been successful. A considerable number of them have been sold back to cages in Guangdong and Fujian. Some people once thought that hatchery breeding in Huidong, Guangdong Province was unsuccessful.
Gold carp eats large amounts and digests fast. Under captive feeding conditions, after eating for a short period of time, if they are fed with their favorite food, they are still fiercely contending. Gold carp grows quickly and can weigh about 500 grams for half a year. Breeders increase the amount of feed in the fastest growing seasons of June, July and August according to the rapid growth rate of gold carp. , Make it grow quickly, reach the market specification as soon as possible, compress its growth cycle, reduce risk.
Second, cage culture
1. Selection of sea area
The choice of sea areas for cage culture of golden mullet is very important. Golden mullet is a warm-water fish. The sea area is best to be selected in the sea area south of Huidong (including Huidong) of Guangdong. The bottom of the cage is about 1.5 meters away from the bottom with a minimum tide level. The wind and waves are calm and the traffic is convenient.
2. Stocking specifications and density
In the breeding stage, for early harvest, early-sale fry about 6 cm in length can be stored at 40 fish/m3 to 50 fish/m3. If the fish is not eager to be harvested, the breeding density can be appropriately increased.
3. Daily management
(1) There are mainly two types of bait feed, one is fresh fish; the other is artificial feed. Due to the smaller mouth of the golden carp, the fresh fish must be fresh. The fish must be hungry to prevent the fish from getting stuck in the throat. In June to August, the daily feeding amount is more than 20% of the fish's body weight. In other times, the amount of feeding can be appropriately reduced depending on the circumstances at other times. In order to accelerate the growth rate, the daily feeding amount can be increased by about 40% of the fish's body weight, and the number of feedings can be increased to 3 to 4 or even 5 times. Formulated feeds can be fed by referring to instructions.
(2) Safety inspections In order to prevent fish from being caught, check the cages frequently. After the typhoon, check whether there is any loss in the cage and whether fish escape occurs.
(3) Elimination of cage attachments Net cages will enter the sea for a period of time. Defiled organisms will adhere to the cages and must be promptly removed.
(4) Accumulation of records and data is an important task in raising fish farming technology. Every day, we must make detailed records of water temperature, salinity, fish feeding conditions, dead fish conditions, weather changes, and fish diseases.
4. Disease prevention and treatment
Fish disease is an important factor affecting the survival rate of golden mullet. Due to the high density of cage culture, once the fish become ill, the rate of cross-infection is fast and the disease condition is difficult to control, which may easily cause batch death. Prevention is more important than prevention. Prevention is particularly important. Therefore, prevention should be done in peacetime and fish diseases should be promptly treated.
