The use of this technology system to obtain genetically modified materials to breed 15 new varieties of transgenic cotton, so that the domestic market share of transgenic insect-resistant cotton increased from 5% in 1998 to about 62% in 2004; in Handan, Shandong, Henan, Hubei, The six provinces of Fujian and Su-producing cotton cumulatively promoted more than 61.44 million mu of domestically-produced transgenic cotton, and achieved social and economic benefits of 9.16 billion yuan.
