Every farmer wants to feed the pig that grows the fastest and fastest at the lowest cost, which requires the farmer to formulate a balanced feed. The specific preparation method of the feed should be based on the growth of the pig according to local conditions. In addition, the farmers must comply with the following four principles when formulating the feed by themselves.
First, we must pay attention to digestibility
Compared with most livestock, the digestive capacity of pigs is relatively weak, especially in the aspect of digesting crude fiber. The crude fiber digestibility of cattle, sheep, horses, donkeys and other livestock is much stronger than that of pigs. Therefore, in the preparation of feed, in order to ensure the digestibility of the feed, the cellulose content must be controlled.
The cellulose content of the diet in different pigs should also vary. In general, sows have the strongest digestive capacity, and the proportion of cellulose in their diet can be 10%. The proportion of cellulose in boars and large pigs should be reduced, accounting for about 6%. The digestive capacity of piglets is the weakest, and the proportion of cellulose is best maintained at 3% or even lower.
Second, the feed is evenly distributed
No matter which materials you choose, it is a basic requirement to mix all kinds of raw materials. Generally, the following processes should be followed when formulating:
1. Mix the basic feed (such as corn, bran, soybean meal, etc.) evenly;
2, add other less raw materials, and mix well, especially for some feed additives, it is best to use a pre-mixed method. It is recommended to use a batch horizontal mixer to maximize the mixing of the feed to avoid the nutritional problems caused by uneven mixing of raw materials and the poisoning caused by uneven intake of additives.
Third, the variety of feed ingredients
Pigs are omnivores, and a single intake of a feed is not a good thing for them. In order to ensure the nutritional balance of pigs and to play the nutritional value and complementary effects of various feeds, pig diets should include at least 4, 5 or even more types of feed ingredients. The nature of these feed ingredients should also be differentiated, and feeds of various natures such as roughage, green fodder, and concentrate should have a certain proportion. This can make the nutrition of pigs more perfect and balanced, and it is also more conducive to digestion of the stomach and improve the growth and development speed of pigs.
Fourth, the raw materials are reasonable
Although pig diets require a variety of different feed combinations, the specific proportion of each feed is also appropriate. According to the needs of different pigs, the proportion of feeds with different properties should be determined. For example, the proportion of concentrate in the straight fattening period of pigs should be higher. If pigs grow above 180 kg, the proportion of roughage or green fodder can be appropriately increased. In this way, the pig can not only be full but also the nutrients needed by the body can be better satisfied.
The proportion of pig feed in different weather conditions should also be different. Therefore, farmers should consider the appetite of pigs and the palatability of feed.
