After the sow is finished giving birth, it is necessary to remove contaminants in a timely manner, clean the walls, floors, and railings, and then spray 2% to the Soviet Union for disinfection. This will create a hygienic, quiet and fresh air environment for the sows.
The second is to carefully observe the dynamics of the sows and piglets after delivery. The uterus and birth canal of sows have different degrees of damage after delivery, and pathogenic microorganisms are easy to invade and reproduce, causing harm to the body. Frequent illnesses such as metritis, postpartum fever, mastitis, and piglet diarrhea should be treated as early as possible to prevent infection of whole litter piglets.
Second, start from the rearing
Physical exertion during childbirth is high, body fluid loss is high, sows show signs of fatigue and thirst. Therefore, prepare enough warm, 1% salt water for the sow to drink. Sows should not be fed within 8 hours after delivery, ensure warm water supply, and give food on the morning of the second day because the digestive function of the postpartum sow is very weak and the amount of feed should be gradually restored. If the sow's digestive capacity is restored well, there will be more piglets; after 2 days, the amount of feed before the farrowing can be restored. If sows do not have milk or milk, they must immediately take measures to save the piglets. First, prepare some milk congee feeds, such as millet porridge, soup made with small fish and shrimps, soymilk, milk, etc., and feed 1 day. Secondly, the amount of lactation is gradually reduced until it stops.
