5. The transparent surface of the cuvette cannot be contacted with hard objects or dirt. The height of the solution can be 2/3 of the cuvette. If there is residual liquid on the optical surface, it can be gently absorbed by the filter paper. Then wipe it with lens paper.
6. When measuring the ultraviolet wavelength, a quartz cuvette should be used.
7. Cleaning of the cuvette: Generally, rinse with water and then wash with distilled water. Do not wash the cuvette with an alkaline solution or a highly oxidizing wash to avoid damage. It is also not possible to clean the cuvette with a brush to avoid damaging its light-transmissive surface. The cuvette should be washed immediately after each experiment. The water on the outer wall of the cuvette should be blotted with lens paper or soft absorbent paper to protect the translucent surface. When measuring the absorbance of a colored solution, be sure to wash the inner wall of the cuvette several times with a colored solution to avoid changing the concentration of the colored solution.
