In 2011-2016, Internet medical care has gone through the barbaric growth period of emerging industries. After five years of ups and downs and adjustments, the industry has gradually entered a stage of rational development. In the future, Internet medical care will continue to expand under the four driving forces of policy, technology, environment and capital.
1. Good national policy
On January 12, 2015, the Health Planning Commission issued the “Several Opinions on Advancing and Regulating Physician's Multi-Point Practiceâ€, proposing to promote the rational flow of physicians, relax conditions, simplify registration and approval procedures, explore the implementation of filing management or regional registration, and optimize physicians. Pointing to the practice policy environment has enabled doctors who are the key elements of medical reform to further practise their practice. The beneficiaries of these policies, in addition to hospitals, patients and doctors, are the emerging new forms of mobile health .
In addition, in July 2015, the State Council issued the “Guiding Opinions on Actively Promoting “Internet+†Actionsâ€, proposing to promote a new online health care model. Develop Internet-based medical and health services, support third-party organizations to build medical information sharing service platforms such as medical images, health records, inspection reports, and electronic medical records, and gradually establish a medical data sharing and exchange standard system across hospitals. Actively use the mobile Internet to provide convenient services such as online appointment diagnosis and treatment, waiting for reminders, price payment, medical report inquiry, and drug delivery. Guide medical institutions to carry out remote medical services such as grassroots inspection and superior diagnosis for small and medium-sized cities and rural areas. Encourage Internet companies to cooperate with medical institutions to establish a medical network information platform, strengthen the integration of regional medical and health service resources, and make full use of the Internet and big data to improve the prevention and control of major diseases and public health emergencies. Actively explore the Internet to extend the application of medical health services such as medical orders and electronic prescriptions. Encourage qualified medical testing institutions and medical service organizations to join Internet companies to develop health service models such as genetic testing and disease prevention.
2. Relevant technology promotion
The development of Internet technology has enabled terminal equipment to connect to the Internet more quickly. As of June 2017, the number of Chinese netizens reached 751 million. In the first half of the year, the number of netizens increased by 2.92 million, with a half-year growth rate of 2.7%. The Internet penetration rate was 54.3%, an increase of 1.1 percentage points from the end of 2016. The digital technology represented by the Internet is accelerating the deep integration with various fields of economy and society, and has become an important driving force for promoting China's consumption upgrading, economic and social transformation, and building a new competitive advantage for the country.
As of June 2017, the number of mobile Internet users in China reached 724 million, an increase of 28.3 million compared with the end of 2016. The proportion of Internet users using mobile phones has increased from 95.1% at the end of 2016 to 96.3%, and the proportion of mobile Internet access has continued to increase.

Using wireless technology, medical staff can timely access, input and modify patient information, diagnostic reports and treatment plans from any location, and coordinate doctors, nurses and related management departments into one, which makes the hospital The level of care and service capacity is greatly improved, which can reduce unnecessary medical accidents, save time for medical professionals, and reduce the cost of data entry. Wireless technology has been widely used and implemented in many countries and regions. The application of wireless technology in medical care mainly includes telemedicine, patient data management, drug tracking, medical waste tracking, and medical device management.
With the development of technology, wireless medical sensor nodes are gradually developing in the direction of multi-parameter, intelligent, miniaturization and low power consumption, and wireless sensor networks will gradually be applied to the medical field. The development and establishment of intelligent ward and community monitoring systems is the trend of medical development at home and abroad.
3. Development of environmental changes
The aging of our population has continued to deepen. By the end of 2016, the number of elderly people over the age of 65 in China reached 150 million, accounting for 10.8%. China's elderly population accounts for one-fifth of the global elderly population and continues to show rapid growth. By 2040, the elderly population in China is expected to reach more than 400 million.

At the same time, the natural environment is gradually deteriorating, and the diseases caused by environmental factors will gradually increase, making people's demand for medical treatment increasingly increasing. According to the data, 1.6 million people die of air pollution every year in China, which is 17% of China's total annual mortality rate. The main reason is heart disease, lung disease and stroke caused by pollution. In terms of the average ratio, 4,000 people die every day because of air pollution.
4. Market capital promotion
Since 2014, China's medical informatization has accelerated, and new carriers such as wearable devices, teleconsultations, and medical big data platforms have been established. New concepts such as cloud hospitals, future hospitals, air hospitals, and small micro hospitals based on mobile medical care are emerging one after another. . The capital market is popular with mobile healthcare, and a large number of VC/PE venture capital ventures are targeting this area, and the focus of capital is to boost this industry. As of November 31, 2017, in the medical and health field in China, the number of accumulated financing in the primary market was 402, and the financing scale reached 37.7 billion yuan. Its investment scale is second only to the TMT field.

From January to November 2017, the investment in medical informationization has been reduced, but it still has a higher status in investment and financing in the medical and health field; the total investment is 5.32 billion yuan, accounting for 14.11% of the total. Second only to biotechnology and primary care; the number of investment events was 53, accounting for 13.18% of the total, second only to biotechnology and medical devices.
